Problogger Build a Better Blog

Postby Sheryl Loch » Wed Mar 25, 2009 8:59 am

Problogger is offering a class called 31 Days to Build a Better Blog You can follow along in Twitter using the tag - #31DBBB

The lessons will start April 1st. And for 31 days they will have post with instructions to do for the day. This may have task or lessons that long time bloggers may already know. Ummm, like I don’t need a reminder about things I may have put aside.

You can register with your email if you would like the lesson links sent to you each day along with extra info. Or you can just follow along at their blog.

I registered as, I am not worried about them spamming me with crap. I think they have to much riding on their name to piss people off.

I am hoping some of you all also follow along or register. If we have a few people doing this project then we can start discussions here. That way we can help each other if there is something we do not ‘get’ and we can also share our ideas with any passersby.

I am always ready to learn how to build a better blog.

They suggest registering for the ‘class’ because we all know that if you put your name on something you are more likely to see it through.

So here is my name!

Sheryl

Ps. I know that everyone is busy and you may not be able to do the task each day but, maybe you can follow along and pick up some tips.

Just found out about this class this morning. Of course I signed up right away! I think it will help improve my blogs. I'm just hoping I can keep up with the daily classes!

I am not sure if Cait and I will be able to keep up daily either. It will kind of depend on what he has in his lessons.

I figure that if I have the email and the link to the lesson then if we get a day behind that is OK. We will play catch up at our own pace.

If it takes us more than 31 days but we are learning new things then we are still the winners...just a bit behind.

The Build a Better Blog has been delayed until April 6th.

They found that so many people are getting involved that they needed to get a few extra things in place.

I sure don't mind waiting a few days if that means it will be even better.

Day 1 of the Probloggers 31 Days to Build a Better Blog (#31DBBB) is all about writing an elevator pitch for your blog.

This has been a challenge for me because I have the multiple blog. I am thinking it would be something like -

Sharing Tutorials, tips, and tools that I use to help spread the word about natural health.

But, I do throw in a few odd ball things about life in general. Maybe I should have tried this with one of the other blogs! LOL!

Holy Crap Mum,
We are seriously to much alike. I typed my little sentence for the "Elevator Pitch" - without thinking about, came here and ours are similar. Since I am not a very talkative person and would probably never speak to anyone IN an elevator I came up with...

"I like sharing uber cool web tips to brighten up your pages, obsessing over music and teen idols and keepin’ it cool with sarcasm in the mix!"

Anytime I am in an elevator I am going to say that over and over. I don't think that's the point of this, but it would be fun! I'd put some different key words in it each time, make it seem more personable.

'Nuff jokes... This is cool. I am sure we will be able to keep up with it for the most part. We r so mart we can does anythin!

Day 2 of ProBloggers 31 Days to Build a Better Blog - Write a List Post

I did not get my email today so, I figured if anyone else missed it , I would post it here.

I have heard that list post give you a better chance at getting to Diggs #1 page (I think there is allot more to it though). ;)

I am not a list poster but, I will give it a try. Just gotta figure out what I can write a list about. I hate to be redundant. Seems like to many people write list that are the same as 1000 other blog post. I must be creative!

"Toddler Craft: A blog Dedicated to Fun Crafts & Tips for kids 1-7"

It was funny because I was working on this the night before for my business cards! But didn't know that it was called an elevator pitch!!

Like your elevator pitch!! Funny how mom's and Daughter's have that kind of connection!! My mom and I will almost always call eachother when the other is about to pick up the phone to do the same!!
