Oh yes, we all know that we should be on Facebook.

Why?
I'm not really sure.

I went there a bit but, when they changed their layout - I pretty much stopped logging in.
I did finally get some of the 5000 apps shut off. Holy cow! I would log in and it would take me 1/2 an hour to get rid of all the pokes, teddy bears, flowers.....Not to mention the group invites that were basically just a person who set up a group that was nothing but an advert for their business. ARGH!!

I also do not like that you can not see someones profile unless they are a friend. How do I know if I want them as a friend if I know nothing about them???

You can still find me there - Sheryl Loch on FaceBook just know that I do have most of the Super Wall Flowers Beer Game Picture...Things turned off!

Maybe they will make it a bit easier to get around sometime soon.

Ok, be sure to leave your FaceBook link here so others can find you. At least if i know you from here then I do not have to worry about you being a crazy stalker or something. Hmmm, that should be - MAYBE you are not a crazy FaceBook stalker. LOL!

Ok, I read that you need 7 people following your blog on Facebook to have it shown. After 7 followers they will then pull in your RSS Feed!

You also need 8 people to verify you are the author. So, be sure to do that when you follow a persons blog if they still show Verification Needed on the Right hand side.

I have 2 parts of my blog listed

Brad has the dogs blog listed.

If your blog needs followers on FB to get shown please leave the link & we can try to get them shown.I am not sure how it works so, that is why I said TRY! LOL!

To add your blog to Facebook -

Log into FaceBook then click this link Facebook Blogs

You will then need to allow this Application -
You will see thumbnails of blogs, at the top you will see the text PROFILE click -
The new page that comes up has a little about you & if you scroll down just a bit you will see ADD YOUR BLOG -

This will get you to the form to fill out!
Be sure to bring the link to your blog back here.
If any link here to a persons blog page does not work, you may need to log into to FB first.

Great post Mom,
Now that I am back on Facebook (after being deleted for no apparent reason) I submitted my blog on there! I don't personally get it, but whatever! Now I need people to "Verify" me or at least my blog. Lolz!


Now that my blog is on there, I will not need to go there for another 6 months. YAY!

Facebook is being mean to me though...I added my blog, added their widget to my site in the sidebar, but they can't verify it. Yet, I can click through on their widget and sign up to follow the blog. I took it off and will try again. 9 people is a lot to get to verify me as the blog owner. Okay, it's not that many but is time consuming.

I shall be successful though!

Great Idea... I didn't even know this application existed.

How to add your Blog RSS Feed to your Facebook Profile Notes as an Update.

This will mean that everytime you post a new article on your blog it can be seen by all of your Facebook friends as an update.

It is really pretty easy to do & might just get you some more traffic to your blog! Yes, we like traffic!

EDIT APRIL, 18, 2010 - Facebook has taken RSS Feeds option off of NOTES. To add a Feed to your Profile or Fan Page you can see Post a RSS Feed to Facebook. Or you can add your Blog to the FaceBook Networked Blogs.

Here we go,
1) Log into Facebook!
2) Go to your HOME page
3) Down in the Bottom Left of your page you will see an F (the Blue Facebook F) Click it.
4) Now you have a menu, on that menu you will see NOTES, Clicking this will open a new page. You will see all the Notes from your friends.
5) On the Top (under the Blue facebook bar) you will see the text MY NOTES, click this.
If you have not used the NOTES application then you will see a Welcome page.

6) In the Right Hand Column you will see Notes Settings. If you do not have a blog imported then it will say ‘You are not importing notes from an external blog. Import Blog’ So click to Import Blog
7) On this page simply put in the link to your Blogs RSS Feed.
8) Checkmark the Yes, you agree crap,
9) Start Importing!

Now before you leave all excited let’s do 1 more thing. SUPER IMPORTANT!!

You will need to look in your Setting - You want to make sure "Your Notes" are set so only the people you want can see them...or you can choose EVERYONE.

You are now a Blog Importing FaceBook Rockstar!!

Told you it was easy!
I found most people just did not know how to find the page to the Notes to Import.
I am sure I went a bit detailed for some people but, I want to make sure everyone can do this no matter how familiar they are with FaceBook.

Hint - the rules say that if you import to many post Facebook could cancel your account. I have no idea what to many post is, they give no number. I was going to import the forum here just to see what To many was. Brad might get mad if I got his Facebook account deleted so, I did not push it.

Also you are ONLY to import Your Own blog.
You can ONLY import 1 RSS Feed - unless - you take your sites & combined the feeds into 1 - then import that. Ahhhhhhh!

Offtopic: Ok, now this is exactly the kind of post I envision for SocialExchanger.com someday. I've been very lazy with that site.

Anyway, I have followed, rated five stars and confirmed everyone up to this point, except Karen, she didn't need my confirmations I'm going to add my blogs with your instructions Sheryl, just as soon as I can find the English version of Facebook. Why in the world would everything be in Spanish all the sudden? I'll figure it out and come back to post my blogs.
