When Facts Stop Being Facts

The article, linked below, talks about how fast facts are changing. While the author is focused mostly on science…can you imagine what that means for marketing, SEO, blogging social interaction and all things internet?

Holy shit people…we would need a huge article just to cover the last few years on one of those web topics and how fast things go from Fact to "oh shit that doesn't apply anymore".

I think this is why so many bloggers are posting outdated info. Most see it on a blog they follow and then just run with it. They seem to not notice that it no longer applies the way it did a year ago. To many of them are just regurgitating old crap. Kind of like people on Facebook sharing inaccurate crap…just because they are too lazy to find out if it is true or even up to date.

So, read Half the Facts You Know Are Probably Wrong and then think about how it applies to the info you are passing along. Is it really fact? Is it old and out dated? Do you just stay with an idea because you want to rather than because it is true?
